December – Holidays Around the World

external image Holidays-around-the-World-300x214.jpg

Many of us celebrate holidays in different ways. Sometimes students wonder if there are children in other countries who celebrate the holidays in the same manner as we do. Classes can create either a multimedia presentation or a digital story showing how their country celebrates the holidays. During the month of December classes will connect with a class in a different country and share their presentation with them via Edmodo, Skype or Google Hangout. Examples of multimedia presentation tools are Prezi, Powerpoint, Google Presentation, and Frames 5.

Questions that should be answered are:

  1. Name of Country?

  2. What holiday do they celebrate?

  3. In what ways do they celebrate the holiday?
